So, I have decided to write an article for updating Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 to a newly released Revolutionary S5 Custom ROM. I have already posted the steps for updating this phone to UltimaAOSP Custom ROM. Today, I am going to write the steps for updating Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 to Android 4.4.2 KitKat Revolutionary S5 Custom ROM.
I am confident that you will be very happy after installing KitKat Revolutionary S5 Custom ROM on your phone. This is one of my favorite smartphones because of its camera. The South Korean company has added 8MP camera in this phone. You will need to root your Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 in order to install KitKat Revolutionary S5 Custom ROM. You will also have to install CWM recovery on your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 before updating it to the new Custom ROM. One thing I forgot to mention that you must backup all data available on your S III before following the steps and Samsung Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 USB driver need to be installed on your PC for successful connection between your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 and computer.
You can follow the steps posted below to install Revolutionary S5 Custom ROM on your Galaxy S III GT-I9300. Androidbiits will not be responsible if your S3 GT-I9300 got corrupted during the installation process. The battery level of your S III must be above 95% before following these steps.
How to Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat Revolutionary S5 Custom ROM on Samsung Galaxy S III GT-I9300
1. First, you have to download Android 4.4.2 KitKat Revolutionary S5 Custom ROM.
2. Now you have to download Google Apps package for your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300.
3. Go to the settings of Samsung Galaxy S3 and enable USB debugging.
4. Now you have to connect your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 with your PC via USB cable.
5. After connecting your device, you have to transfer Revolutionary S5 Custom ROM ZIP file and Google Apps package to the SD card of your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 from your PC. Then, switch off your S III.
6. Remove the USB cable from your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 and then you have to put it into Recovery Mode.
7. Now you have to choose “wipe data/factory reset” option from the main menu of your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300.
8. You have to choose “wipe cache partition” from the main menu of your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300.
9. Now you have to choose “install zip from SD card” and then search for Revolutionary S5 Custom ROM ZIP file and Google Apps package from the SD card of your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300. Then, install them on your S III.
10. Now you have to return to the main menu of your Galaxy S III and choose “reboot system now” option.
You will have to wait until your Galaxy S3 GT-I9300 restarts. It may take around 7 minutes to reboot. Once your Galaxy S III is restarted, you can enjoy Revolutionary S5 Custom ROM.
