You will have to root your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100 in order to install KitKat OmniROM. You will also have to install CWM recovery on your Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100 before updating it to the new Custom ROM. You must backup contacts, photos and videos available on Galaxy Tab 2 before updating it. Steps to Install Android 4.4.2 KitKat OmniROM on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 P5100

1. First, you have to Android 4.4.2 KitKat OmniROM for Tab 2.

2. Now you have to download Google Apps package for your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100.

3. Go to the settings of Tab 2 and enable USB debugging.

4. Now you have to connect your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100 with your PC via USB cable.

5. After connecting your device, you have to transfer OmniROM ZIP file and Google Apps package to the SD card of your Tab 2 10.1 P5100 from your PC. Then, switch off your Tab 2.

6. Remove the USB cable from your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100 and then you have to put it into Recovery Mode.

7. Now you have to choose “wipe data/factory reset” option from the main menu of your Galaxy Tab 2 P5100.

8. You have to choose “wipe cache partition” from the main menu of your Galaxy Tab 2 P5100.

9. Now you have to choose “install zip from SD card” and then search for OmniROM ZIP file and Google Apps package from the SD card of your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100. Then, install them on your Tab 2.

10. Now you have to return to the main menu of your Tab 2 10.1 P5100 and choose “reboot system now” option.

You will have to wait until your Samsung Galaxy Tab 2 10.1 P5100 restarts. It may take around 6 minutes to reboot. Once your Tab 2 10.1 P5100 is restarted, you can enjoy OmniROM.
